Artifacts

The glorious treasures of the Underworld. What wanderer of the shadowlands would be complete without his relic weapon at his side. Though I will not be naming ever artifact that crosses through this Necropolis, I will however point out the ones of interest. This here is a humble library for you to take your time and absorb the information. Most will contain the value of that particular relic, though some are worth more than any wraith will ever know.

S.S. Worthington
Storyteller Note: This relic is purely for setting purposes and a ST's tool, and could no more likely be owned by a player then the Midnight Express.

During a siege on a Spectre stronghold, an island was found in the middle of Hamilton Harbour's Tempest. Lush with tropical growth, near the centre, the Oblivion-tainted fortress was found. On the opposide bank of the island, a huge tanker was discovered: the S.S. Worthington that had sunk during the explosion of 1952. The crew had become Shadow-eaten, and most were killed. On the island, a station was built which connected the Midnight Express to the area as well as to the local rail system. Over the next several years the ship underwent large repairs. The ship was redesigned, no longer for oil and metal, but for passangers and cargo. On the deck, old turrets were set up for protection, the hull was reinforced, and sentry nests were set up. Patrol boats were recovered to use as escorts. Once finished, the massive vessel, nicknamed the Leviathan of Ontario, started its journeys to Stygia.

Due to its size, huge amounts of thralls and materials could be shipped at once. Shipments would come from anywhere, from Kingston to Milwaukee, in by train to finsih its voyage on the ship. The vessel is heavily guarded, and has proven itself to many underestimating Nephwracks that it is no easy target. This is definitely a good thing as sometimes its cargo can be several thousands Thralls, a dozen Spectres, a large amount of angst from the Pardoners, and tons of Nightsteel weapons and equipment. The ship now runs every two weeks, leaving on Friday and returning on Monday.

It's high decks have been made luxurious, and has room for about a hundred wealthy wraiths, the middle decks are for commoners, with small tight rooms with just enough room to lay on a bunk, they can jam up to three thousand wraiths in on the ship. Then the bottom decks are the cargo holds, and huge rooms where Thralls will be stack up. Also near the back is several cells where the Angst and Spectres can be locked up. The higher-class wraiths are allowed on the top deck, though a lower one allows the proletarians to wander. Only crew memebers my enter the control tower, engineering, barracks and the defenses. For those who get out of hand, there is also a brig.
